Edge® Shave Gel Unveils "Edge Men" Campaign, Enlisting Jason Jones to Give Away Thousands in "Micro-Grants" to Men in Need of an Edge

Jones to Serve as Edge Fund Manager, Distributing Edge Endowments via Social Media to Help Real Men Become More #WellEndowed

SHELTON, Conn., March 27, 2012 -- Today, Edge® shave gel announced a partnership with comedian Jason Jones as the face of the new "Edge Men" campaign. The program will introduce an inspiring group of everyman heroes who will give men the tools they need to get their edge in life, spearheaded by Jones as Edge Fund Manager. In partnership with the brand, Jones will dole out Edge Endowments via social media to arm men with whatever they need to achieve success.

As Edge Fund Manager, Jones will identify people, via social media, who aren't quite as well-endowed as he is, and will distribute cash "micro-grants" to get them ready to do whatever it is they want to do. All men have to do for a chance at an endowment is to tweet at Jones via the @EdgeShaveZone Twitter handle and tell him what they're getting ready for using hashtag #WellEndowed. Then, Jones and a panel of Edge readiness experts will make the call on who is most deserving of an endowment.

"I've teamed up with Edge to take on the role of Edge Fund Manager because I know what it's like to be a well-endowed man, and I want to help others get ready for the same level of well-endowedness," said Jones. "As a cutting-edge TV correspondent, I interview incredibly important people and report on the most riveting news in America. In working with Edge I plan to put my investigative journalism skills to use by helping identify guys who need a little edge in life and providing them with various-sized Edge Endowments so they can potentially become one of the incredibly important people that I will interview one day."

Ready to Get an Edge? Edge Men Provide the Answers.
Whether offering solutions for irritations or preparing men for the day ahead, Edge shave gel empowers men with the resources they need to get their edge. In 2011, Edge helped Anthony Morton go from an unknown student artist in search of gallery space to having his artwork spotlighted on the biggest canvas he had ever worked on, a huge NYC billboard. Meanwhile, Team Edge winner Chad Mendes went from underdog to top contender in the UFC. In 2012, the brand is again looking to give guys an edge – with a team of Edge Men, including Morton, Mendes and Jones, to help identify guys in need of an endowment.

"The Edge Men program furthers our commitment to give men the edge they need to always be ready for success," said Jeffrey C. Wolf, senior brand manager for Edge shave gel. "By teaming up with Jason Jones as our Edge Fund Manager and looking to Edge Men everywhere to help us identify and reward guys in need of an edge, we're here to provide yet another opportunity for men to get ready for great things."

In addition to Endowments distributed via social media, people are invited to enter the Edge Men sweepstakes by visiting www.edgeshave.com and uploading a photo and caption explaining how a cash endowment could help them get their edge. One Grand Prize winner will receive a $10,000 Edge Endowment, 130 First Prize winners will receive $1,000 and 130 Second Prize winners will receive $50 Endowments.

Introducing the Next Generation of QR Code Scanners

Advanced QR Code Scanning App "QR Pal" Launches for iPhone

WARRINGTON, England, January 20, 2012 -- QR Pay Ltd today announced the anticipated release of its "QR Pal" App for the iPhone. The free App is designed to be the most advanced QR Code scanner available, enabling users to scan, store and share QR codes via social media. The App also includes a secure payment facility and "Safe Browsing" making it one of the first security focused QR Code Apps of its kind.
QR Pal first launched for Android devices in August 2011 and has since been used to scan over 28,000 QR Codes in 126 countries worldwide. Android users and industry experts, including the BBC, have embraced QR Pal's features, describing the App as "The New Generation of QR Scanners."

"There are plenty of QR Code scanners available on the market but we wanted to create more than just a scanner. With QR code usage really beginning to explode, we wanted to make QR Pal useful for the end user and more importantly give them the ability to share their scans via social media," said Chris Cooke, CTO at QR Pay Ltd.

The App has the ability to scan QR Codes and traditional Bar Codes with a range of settings enabling the user to scan, save, share, open link, edit and more. QR Pal has a detailed list of categories and if the auto save function is enabled, codes will automatically place in relevant folders.

Users are also able to instantly share scans via MMS, e-mail, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Simply authorise the App with your social media accounts to start sharing. QR Pal also includes a payment feature which enables users to make and receive payments via PayPal.

QR Pal now rewards users for scanning and sharing QR Codes with points. Each month the top three scanners with the highest number of points will be rewarded with a cash prize. "We are all too aware of Apps that get downloaded, used once and never used again. We want people to use QR Pal to scan codes and share them socially and we want to reward users for doing this," said Adam Leese, Head of Marketing, QR Pay Ltd.
