Piece Fest Pushes Street Art to Los Angeles Oct 13 2012

Los Angeles, CA -- Piece Fest is the first festival to bring together Los Angeles’ hottest new bands and most talented street artists to celebrate the artistic movement.

Joining the inaugural festival will be Tia Mollier, DJ Lethal, David Faustino, Corin Nemec, World-Famous Graffitti Artist Risk, Executive Director of Los Angeles Art Association Peter May and more.

The one-day street art event features exciting ways for everyone to get involved. While renowned artists will be battling on stage, an aspiring artist can roam, learn from other artists and witness history being made during the battles. Even the most casual Angeleno or amateur art enthusiast is invited to spend hours relaxing, enjoying the displayed art, meeting the artists and finding inspiration for their next project.

“Street art isn’t limited. There’s no one way to create or enjoy art. We invite everyone to come down, visit the fest, support a good cause; and, spend some time expanding the beauty in your world,” explains co-founders Omen Ferdowsi and Corin Nemec.

Piece Fest benefits the Pico Union Housing Corp. Founded in 1965, PUHC was created out of the need to address the neighborhood residents’ ongoing social and economical struggles and since continues to provide facilities and social services to enrich their community.

This fun, family-friendly and creative event will take place at The Graff Lab, 1038 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles CA 90015 with The "IN" Show streaming the event live online.
