Danette Herman Named Coordinating Producer for Oscar® Telecast

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – Danette Herman has been named coordinating producer for the 85th Academy Awards®, telecast producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced today.

"Danette has just the right combination of relationships and instincts for the job," said Zadan and Meron. "We are extremely pleased that she has agreed to be a part of the 85th Academy Awards team."

Herman has been associated with the Academy Awards® telecast for more than 37 years. Her most recent credits include co-producer of "The 64th Primetime Emmy® Awards" and in December will again serve as coordinating producer for "The Kennedy Center Honors." Through Herman's well-respected career, in live television and events, she has worked on the Academy's "Governors Awards", "Stand Up to Cancer", "CNN Heroes", "An American Celebration at Ford's Theatre" and "The Producer's Guild Awards", among others.

The 85th Academy Awards nominations will be announced live on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at 5:30 a.m. PT in the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2012 will be presented on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the Dolby Theatre™ at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live on the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 225 countries worldwide.
