HIP-HOP/ROCK BAND READY DEBUT ALBUM NO RULES, WITH EXECUTIVE PRODUCER JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, TIMBALAND, THE Y'S, JIM JONSIN, AND MIKE ELIZONDO
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jan. 10, 2012 -- Known for their energetic live hip-hop shows, that bridge the gap between rap, rock, funk, and soul, Memphis-based quintet FreeSol have announced that they will hit the road with Canadian hip-hop/rock band Down With Webster on January 31st for a string of co-headline dates that continues through mid-February.
FreeSol — which is FreeSol Anderson (vocals/lyrics), Kickman Teddy (drums), E. Ives (guitar/vocals), Mo D'Anger (keyboards), and Charlie White (DJ) —formed in 2003 when rapper Free decided to move beyond the basic "two turntables and a microphone" hip-hop formula. The band had already developed a massive regional buzz in the South before being discovered by another Memphis native, Justin Timberlake , who saw them perform and signed them to his label Tennman Records.
The band, who have already been creating a buzz for their singles "Hoodies On, Hats Low" and "Role Model," released a brand-new track, "Fascinated" featuring Timberlake and Timbaland in November. Produced by Timbaland co-produced by Hannon Lane , "Fascinated" is currently available from all digital retailers. A video for the clip, which also features Timberlake and Timbaland, can be seen on VEVO here. Shot in Los Angeles, the video was directed by award-winning director Colin Tilley (Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Diddy Dirty Money).
FreeSol are touring to give fans a taste of their upcoming album No Rules , which features production by Timbaland, Jim Jonsin, Mike Elizondo, Printz Board, Dave Tozer, Greg Gordon , and The Y's and is due out on Tennman Records/Interscope Records this year.
